The lake in Beckenham Place Park has re-opened
You will need a ticket to come into the lake area. It is open from 7am–6pm Book here.
You must be able to swim 25 metres and be over eight years old to use the open water swimming area.
Paddling for under-8s is not currently available.
Boat hire is available at an extra cost.

Peckish in the Park 2024
Peckish 2024 runs from 13th June 2024 until 15th August 2024, every week 4-9pm
The 285m-long Beckenham Place Park wild swimming lake, which reaches 3.5m deep in some parts, it's not a completely new addition to the landscape. There was a lake on the site as far back as the 1700s, although it was filled in and used as a golf course — which was controversially closed to make way for the lake again.
The lake is due to reopen on 29 March 2021. The pre lockdown programme will then resume – Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7am–3pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am–3pm.
PTP Coaching is offering half term activities for children on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am–12pm and 1pm –3pm, as well as Saturday 10.30am – 12.30pm. Find out more about PTP Coaching’s holiday activity club on their website.
